This special landing page has been developed to promote the work KFE and its partner colleges are undertaking with NHS and other health and care organisations across the county.

KFE's Health & Care partnerships page

KFE colleges have a long history of working with a wide range of NHS organisations and funded services in the health and care sector locally. In November 2022 KFE signed an MoU with the NHS Kent and Medway ICB.

Building on this, KFE has established an NHS Strategic Work-stream Group and regularly works with NHS partners and health and care sector organisation in supporting their requirements, but particularly workforce development and related education and skills solutions.

We aim to improve the interface between the NHS funded health and care sector and our FE colleges. This includes making our students and staff aware of and better able to engage with the A to Z of health and care clinical and support role careers, as well as work experience or apprenticeship opportunities and through the NHS Reserve.

FE Provision Mapping

We have mapped our FE health, care and other sector route provision and are working with NHS organisations to map clear pathways to work.
Connecting with Health & Care Partnerships

Our colleges have started linking to the 4 new HCPs across the county to ensure FE can respond to local employer needs, link our learners to careers and develop our curriculum relevance.
Skills Development Fund & Local Skills Improvement Fund

We are working with NHS Kent & Medway to improve career pathway information using immersive technologies supported by the Skills Development Fund and the Local Skills Improvement Fund.

On 16th May 2023 KFE and our NHS partners launched the new Kent & Medway Health and Care Academy. The Academy logo was designed by one of our graphic design students as part of KFE4Skills.
